Team Demolition "Yo! TD Raps" Album Team Demolition's sophomore album released in 2004 was the first release since the group trimmed its ranks from 7 to the core 4 members and was a calculated creative risk for the group. In the face of an overwhelming pop rap explosion, TD went a different direction by creating a hardcore old school throwback album designed to transport the listener to an era when hip hop actually meant something. The album was constructed to mimic an audio version of the late 80s television show, "Yo! MTV Raps," hosted by Fab 5 Freddy, and features commentary from Red Alert, Kool Moe Dee and LL Cool J. Although the album did not put up big sales numbers, it was critically acclaimed as breath of fresh air in an otherwise stagnant genre. |
